The Trophée du Bar is a prestigious annual cocktail competition in France that gathers the country’s top bartenders to showcase creativity, technique, and excellence in mixology. It is considered one of the most respected bartending awards in Europe, often serving as a launchpad for rising talents in the French bar scene.
A huge bravo to Charles Portail of Bar Sauvage in Lyon — whose brilliant Kumato Café cocktail, crafted with Roots Divino Bianco, our non-alcoholic vermouth, was crowned Champion at the prestigious Trophées du Bar 2025 in France.
Charles captivated the judges with Kumato Café, a 100% alcohol-free creation that blends creativity, finesse, and originality, based on Roots Divino Bianco.
This award is a big achievement, as a zero-proof cocktail based on Roots Divino Bianco NA vermouth triumphed in a competition featuring both alcoholic and non-alcoholic serves. A true testament that flavour, craft, and soul can be carried on non alcoholic concoctions as well !
We couldn’t be prouder to see Roots— born in Greece, inspired by the Aegean — being celebrated at the highest level of the French cocktail scene.
